About the artist

Việt Hà (Phích) is a Hanoi-based artist whose work explores the meaning of life through handwritten quotes on yellow sculptural paintings resembling sticky notes.

Her secondary medium is a vibrant series of digital illustrations that depict everyday moments in bold, contrasting colors. A subtle touch of Indochine aesthetics is woven into her characters’ features, reflecting her deep appreciation for Vietnam’s cultural and traditional heritage.

Through her art, Phích invites viewers to see the brighter side of life—whether it’s in the mundane, on social media, or in history. Her work can be described as part of the “hopecore” movement: a celebration of intentional optimism and the pursuit of joy in a complex world.

About NOTE collection

NOTE – originally titled The Sticky Notes Project – was born in Amsterdam, Netherlands, during a time when the artist was searching for a way to communicate with her loved ones. The works capture her unspoken words to her family, as well as memorable phrases shared with her by others—preserved and transformed into art.
